Dress smart. Make an effort. Suits for both men and women are best and always smile. You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.
Punctual
Always be early and be sure you know how to get there. Always contact the interviewer / consultant if you are going to be late.
Predetermine
Asking questions is always an opportunity to impress. Predetermine a few questions and write them down to take to the interview.
Positive
Stay positive throughout. If you have any doubts try to ask questions in a positive manner.
Enjoy the interview and good luck! :)

Just saying because if that was on an application letter I wouldn't be able to overlook it, In general chat it would be fine as I know what is trying to be conveyed but on an official document it needs to be correct.
Proofreading costs nothing but getting it wrong can be costly!

Very clear and simple points mentioned here, however I would also like to add one more point which i think is imp, Thank you note, once the interview is done , do not forget to ask for contact details of the interviewer and then in no response in received in a given time, consider sending out a thank you note.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you know anyone in HR or recruitment let them go over your C.V before you submit it
